The Banks Gallery is proud to host
a wet paint event to benefit Strawbery Banke
Museum. During the week of October 9th through
October 13th artist will be on the grounds
painting the Museum's buildings, gardens,
and collections. On Friday October 13 th the
paintings will be on display at The Banks
Gallery at 123 State Street in Portsmouth.
Over twenty artist will be involved including
Rockport Art Association members T. A. Charron,
Robert Duffy, Mike Graves, Stapleton Kearns,
Scott Moore, T.M. Nicholas, and Dennis Poirier.

musings on caftans. The collective work in

7th Annual Joan L. Dunfey Memorial Open
Juried Exhibition.
Again this year at the Levy Gallery, the New
Hampshire Art Association is mounting the Dunfey
show that draws works from artists living in
the ever-expanding seacoast area to compete
in this juried exhibition. While artists, NHAA
members as well as unaffiliated artists, may
submit one work in any media, all works must
have been completed in the last two years and
not previously exhibited in Portsmouth.

Three contemporary artists interpreting ancient
myths and heroes; exploring subject matter
that artists have found to be engaging throughout
the ages. Mel Zabarsky taught at the University
of New Hampshire from 1969 to 1998, where
upon his retirement he was named professor
emeritus of the Department of Art & Art
History. His wife, Joyce Reopel is also a
former instructor at UNH. Kim Ferreira is
the owner and curator of Three Graces Gallery.
